Luckily for you, scientists love to prepare for the zombie apocalypse and have some answers. We scoured the hordes (get it?) of zombie studies out there — which often use the same mathematical models that predict actual pandemics — and assembled the factors that scholars say would determine a city’s zombie survivability. We then picked five cities that would be relatively well situated when the zombies come. (Spoilers: Vegas didn’t make our list …)
